How to use the Scrabble Word Finder
Type the tiles on your rack, using ? for a blank. Results are sorted by Scrabble score so the best play is at the top. Use Advanced options to fit a word onto the board – for example words that start with a letter already in place.
Scrabble strategy tips
- Learn the two-letter words. Short words like QI, ZA, XI, JO and KA let you play heavy tiles in tight spots and score in two directions at once.
- Use the premium squares. A high-value letter on a double or triple letter square that also forms two words can beat a much longer play.
- Keep a balanced rack. Aim to keep a mix of vowels and consonants. Holding on to an S or a blank for a bigger play is often worth it.
- Look for a bingo. Using all seven tiles earns a 50-point bonus. Letters like E, R, S, T, A, I and N make bingos far more likely.

1 point: A, E, I, O, U, L, N, S, T, R · 2 points: D, G · 3 points: B, C, M, P · 4 points: F, H, V, W, Y · 5 points: K · 8 points: J, X · 10 points: Q, Z. Blank tiles score 0.
Questions
Do the scores include bonus squares?
No – the score is the face value of the tiles. Double and triple squares will add to it.
Do blank tiles score?
No, blanks are worth zero, and the scores shown already allow for that.
