How to use the Wordle Helper
Put green letters in their exact spots, type yellow letters under the position where they showed up, and list all grey letters. WordWiz shows every 5-letter word that still fits, with the most useful guesses first.
Wordle strategy
A good opening word tests the most common letters. Words packed with E, A, R, O, T, L, I, S and N – such as CRANE, SLATE, TRACE or ROAST – rule letters in or out quickly. On your second guess, try five new letters if you can, rather than reusing ones you already know.
Watch out for double letters: words like SPOON, FLOOR and STEEL catch a lot of players out. And when several answers fit, pick a guess that tests as many of the remaining letters as possible – that’s exactly what the score next to each word in WordWiz measures.

We include all valid 5-letter words. Wordle’s answers tend to be common words, so start near the top.
